PLANNING ISSUE #2: ARTICLE ABOUT LOW-MEDIUM COST HOUSING

George Town: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commision (MACC) officers have questioned Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi on the allegation of rampant black market activities on low-medium cost housing distribution in his constituency.

Four MACC officers met him at his service centre in Jelutong at noon Wednesday. Ooi had told reporters that he has evidence of improperties that needed to be investigated. Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) had lodged a report with the MACC in August over Ooi’s allegations

Ooi, the chief of staff of Chief Minister Lim Guang Eng, was quoted in a newspaper report as eluding that rampant balck market activities were the reasons that eligible applicants were denied LMC housing in his constituency.
